Kerala Academy of Pharmacy focuses on preparing learners for professional practice and higher studies in pharmaceutical sciences, fostering an environment of academic excellence and ethical practice.Role Description The Assistant Professor will be responsible for delivering lectures, tutorials, and practical sessions for B.Pharm and lateral entry B.Pharm learners, following the curriculum and academic standards of the institution. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing lesson plans and teaching materials, assessing learner performance through assignments, examinations, and practical evaluations, and providing academic guidance and mentoring. The role also involves participating in curriculum development, contributing to departmental meetings, engaging in scholarly activities or research, and supporting institutional events and quality assurance processes. This is a full-time, on-site role based at Kerala Academy of Pharmacy in Trivandrum, requiring regular presence on campus and active collaboration with faculty, staff, and learners.Qualifications Relevant academic qualifications in Pharmacy (M.Pharm or higher); registration with appropriate professional bodies is an advantage.Demonstrated teaching skills, including lesson planning, classroom management, and the ability to engage and support diverse learners.Strong knowledge of core pharmaceutical sciences and current developments in the pharmacy profession.Ability to participate in academic research, scholarly activities, or professional development initiatives.Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary academic environment.Proficiency in using educational technologies, learning management systems, and basic computer applications for teaching and assessment.Commitment to ethical practice, learner-centered education, and adherence to institutional and regulatory standards.Prior teaching or academic experience in a pharmacy college or similar institution is desirable.
