The campus community values diversity, academic integrity, and continuous improvement in teaching and learning.Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Assistant Professor position in Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) located at Bearys Institute of Technology in Mangaluru. The role involves delivering undergraduate courses in CSE, preparing lesson plans and teaching materials, and conducting classroom and laboratory sessions. The Assistant Professor will assess student performance, provide academic guidance, and supervise projects and internships. Responsibilities also include engaging in research or scholarly activities, contributing to curriculum development, participating in departmental and institutional committees, and supporting accreditation and quality assurance processes. The role may involve coordinating co-curricular activities, organizing seminars or workshops, and maintaining up-to-date knowledge of developments in CSE.Qualifications Master’s degree (M.E./M.Tech) in Computer Science and Engineering or a closely related field from a recognized university; Ph.D. in CSE or related discipline is preferred.Strong foundation in core CSE areas such as data structures and algorithms, operating systems, computer networks, databases, and programming languages.Ability to design and deliver clear, engaging lectures and lab sessions, with demonstrated skills in classroom management and student mentoring.Experience or interest in research, publications, or industry projects in emerging domains such as AI, machine learning, data science, cybersecurity, or cloud computing.Effective written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, students, and administration.Familiarity with outcome-based education, curriculum design, and assessment methods; experience with accreditation processes (e.g., NBA/NAAC) is an advantage.Commitment to inclusive, non-discriminatory teaching practices and to supporting learners from diverse backgrounds.Proficiency with educational technologies and tools such as learning management systems, online assessment platforms, and collaborative software.Prior teaching experience at the undergraduate level is desirable but motivated early-career educators with strong academic records are encouraged to apply.
