Applicants can expect a dynamic, growth-oriented environment that values innovation, student success, and professional development.Role Description The Assistant Professor – CSE role is a full-time, on-site position based at Chandigarh University in Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar. The position involves delivering undergraduate and postgraduate lectures in Computer Science and Engineering, preparing course materials, and designing assessments aligned with the curriculum. Daily responsibilities include guiding students through projects and practical labs, mentoring them on academic and career matters, and maintaining high standards of classroom engagement and discipline. The role also requires contributing to research activities, publishing in reputable venues, participating in departmental meetings, and supporting accreditation, outreach, and other academic initiatives of the university.Qualifications Strong foundation in core Computer Science and Engineering areas such as data structures, algorithms, operating systems, databases, computer networks, and software engineering.Proficiency in programming languages and development tools (e.g., C/C++, Java, Python, web technologies, and relevant IDEs) and familiarity with modern software development practices.Knowledge of emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence, machine learning, data science, cloud computing, cybersecurity, or related domains.Ability to design and deliver structured course content, create assessments, and effectively use educational technologies and learning management systems.Strong research aptitude, including literature review, proposal writing, data analysis, and publication in peer-reviewed journals or conferences.Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a diverse academic environment.Master’s degree (M.E./M.Tech) in Computer Science and Engineering or a closely related field from a recognized institution; a Ph.D. in CSE or allied area is highly preferred.Prior teaching or academic experience, industry exposure, and participation in projects, grants, or consultancy activities will be considered an advantage.
