Bangladesh University is looking for Assistant Professor (Department of English)Job Description / Responsibility:Department of English.Education, Teaching and Research.Educational RequirementsBachelor/HonorsMastersMaster of Philosophy (M.Phil)PhD (Doctor of Philosophy)04 years Bachelor (Hons.) and Masters in relevant discipline from any recognized university with minimum CGPA of 3.00 in the scale of 4.00 in both examinations. Having minimum GPA 4.00 in the scale of 5.00 in SSC and HSC.Applicants who have passed in previous system with First class/division in all examinations may also apply. Minimum three 1st class/A grade for Master’s degree holders. Two 1st class/A grade for M.Phil/ Ph.D degree holders, out of which one 1st class/A grade either in Hon’s or Masters.02 years active teaching experience as Lecturer/ Senior Lecturer for Ph.D degree holders, 03 years active teaching experience as Lecturer/ Senior Lecturer for M.Phil degree holders and 05 years active teaching experience (2 yrs as Senior Lecturer) for Master’s degree holders.Minimum 3 Publications in recognized journal (1 as first author).M.Phil/ Ph.D degree holders will get preference.Higher academic qualifications from abroad will be determined and evaluated with equivalence of UGC-Criteria.Compensation & Other BenefitsSalary: As per BU-Pay ScaleCompensation and Other benefits: As per BU-Policy
