IEC provides a dynamic academic environment committed to quality education, innovation, and industry relevance.Role Description The Assistant Professor for Botany @ IEC will be a full-time, on-site academic role based at IEC College Of Engineering & Technology, Greater Noida. The position involves delivering undergraduate and/or postgraduate lectures in Botany, designing and updating course materials, and aligning syllabi with current academic and industry standards. The role includes supervising laboratory work, guiding student projects and dissertations, and ensuring safe, effective use of laboratory resources. The Assistant Professor will conduct research in relevant areas of Botany, publish scholarly work, and participate in academic collaborations. Additional responsibilities include mentoring students, participating in departmental meetings and committees, contributing to accreditation and quality assurance processes, and supporting co-curricular and outreach activities of the department and institution.Qualifications Strong academic background in Botany or a closely related discipline, with a minimum of a Master’s degree (M.Sc.) in Botany; a Ph.D. or enrollment in a Ph.D. program is highly preferred.Demonstrated subject-matter expertise in areas such as plant physiology, taxonomy, ecology, molecular biology, or related fields, with the ability to teach core and elective courses.Experience or training in classroom teaching, curriculum development, and student assessment, with a student-centric and inclusive teaching approach.Research skills including literature review, experimental design, data analysis, and academic writing, with evidence of publications, conference presentations, or ongoing research projects.Laboratory management skills, including handling of botanical equipment, maintaining lab records, ensuring safety compliance, and guiding students in practical work.Proficiency in basic digital tools for teaching and learning (e.g., Learning Management Systems, presentation software, online collaboration platforms).Strong written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly and engage diverse learners.Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively within departmental and institutional teams, contribute to academic events, and support institutional
