It operates multiple institutes across the Emirate, providing applied Certificates and Diploma programs aligned with labor market needs in areas such as Business, Information Technology, Environment Studies, Industrial Technology, Logistics, and Engineering. ADVETI is licensed by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and has achieved accreditation for all its programs. In collaboration with the National Qualifications Authority, ADVETI continues to develop new vocational programs tailored to industry requirements, ensuring graduates are work-ready and equipped for roles in local enterprises and organizations.Role Description The Assistant Professor in Information Security will deliver undergraduate courses in information security and related disciplines, ensuring high-quality teaching and learning aligned with ADVETI’s vocational mission. Responsibilities include preparing and updating course materials, developing assessments, supervising student projects, and integrating practical, industry-relevant content into the curriculum. The role involves mentoring and advising students, contributing to program development and accreditation activities, and participating in academic committees and institutional initiatives. The Assistant Professor is expected to engage with industry partners to keep course content current with emerging security trends, standards, and technologies. This is a full-time, on-site role based in the Abu Dhabi Emirate, United Arab Emirates.Qualifications Strong expertise in information security domains such as network security, system security, risk management, incident response, and cybersecurity governance.Proficiency with security tools and technologies, including security monitoring solutions, vulnerability assessment tools, and secure configuration practices.Demonstrated ability to design and deliver engaging courses, develop curriculum materials, and create fair and rigorous assessments for higher education or vocational programs.Effective communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly to diverse learners.Experience in academic advising, student mentoring, and providing constructive feedback to support student success.Master’s degree or PhD in Information Security, Computer Science, or a closely related field from a recognized institution; relevant professional certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CEH, CompTIA Security+) are an advantage.Evidence of ongoing professional development, engagement with industry trends, and, ideally, applied research or industry collaboration in information security.Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues in a multicultural environment and contribute to institutional committees, quality assurance, and accreditation processes.
