JAIN University offers a vibrant campus culture that supports academic growth, innovation, and professional development.Role Description The Assistant Professor of Accounting is a full-time, on-site role based in Bengaluru. The role involves teaching undergraduate and postgraduate courses in accounting and related areas, preparing and delivering lectures, conducting tutorials, and evaluating student performance through assignments, projects, and examinations. The faculty member will contribute to curriculum development, update course materials to reflect current accounting standards and practices, and incorporate innovative teaching methods. Responsibilities also include academic advising, mentoring students, participating in departmental meetings and committees, and engaging in scholarly activities such as research, publications, and conferences. The Assistant Professor is expected to collaborate with colleagues, support accreditation and quality assurance initiatives, and contribute to the overall academic mission of the University.Qualifications Strong expertise in Accounting and Financial Accounting, with the ability to teach core and advanced courses in these areas.Knowledge of Finance and related concepts, enabling integration of financial principles into accounting curricula.Relevant professional qualifications such as Certified Public Accounting (CPA) or equivalent credential are highly desirable.Experience or demonstrated interest in Curriculum Development, including designing syllabi and learning outcomes aligned with academic standards.Advanced degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related field (minimum of a master’s degree; PhD or equivalent preferred).Evidence of or potential for research, scholarly publications, and participation in academic conferences.Effective classroom management, strong communication and presentation skills, and the ability to engage a diverse student body.Commitment to ethical practice, inclusive pedagogy, and ongoing professional development in accounting and higher education.
