The selected candidate will be responsible for teaching and mentoring students in Clinical Psychology, contributing to academic and research activities, supporting practical and clinical training, and participating in departmental and institutional initiatives.Key ResponsibilitiesDeliver engaging and student-centred lectures in Clinical Psychology at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, as assigned.Teach subjects related to clinical assessment, psychopathology, psychological testing, counselling and psychotherapy, clinical interventions, and related areas.Develop course plans, teaching materials, assignments, case studies, and assessment tools.Supervise students during practical training, case discussions, psychological assessments, and related academic activities.Provide academic mentoring and guidance to students for dissertations, projects, internships, and clinical/practical work.Contribute to curriculum development, course planning, academic quality initiatives, and examination-related responsibilities.Conduct and publish high-quality research in Clinical Psychology and allied areas.Participate in seminars, workshops, conferences, faculty development programmes, and other academic activities.Support student exposure to ethical and evidence-based clinical practices.Maintain appropriate academic and clinical documentation related to teaching, practical training, and student supervision.Collaborate with faculty members and relevant professionals for interdisciplinary teaching, research, and clinical initiatives.Participate in departmental, institutional, accreditation, and administrative responsibilities as assigned.Contribute to the development of a strong academic and research culture within the Department.Eligibility & QualificationsMaster's degree in Clinical Psychology / Psychology or an RCI-recognised equivalent qualification, as applicable to the role.RCI registration is mandatory for the position.A Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology/Psychology or a relevant allied discipline will be preferred.Relevant teaching, clinical, research, or academic experience in a recognised higher-education or clinical setting will be an advantage.Candidates should have a strong understanding of clinical assessment, psychological testing, psychopathology, counselling/psychotherapy, and evidence-based psychological interventions.Candidates with relevant research publications, conference presentations, academic projects, or professional contributions will be preferred.Knowledge of current developments in Clinical Psychology and contemporary psychological assessment and intervention practices is desirable.Key Skills & CompetenciesStrong knowledge of Clinical Psychology and allied psychological disciplines.Excellent teaching, presentation, and classroom-management skills.Strong clinical reasoning, assessment, and case conceptualisation skills.Ability to mentor and guide students effectively.Good research, academic writing, and analytical skills.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Familiarity with digital teaching and learning tools.Commitment to professional ethics, confidentiality, and responsible clinical practice.Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary academic environment.Preferred ProfileCandidates with a combination of RCI registration, academic teaching experience, clinical exposure, research credentials, and postgraduate supervision experience will be preferred.
