With a community of over 8,000 students, more than 400 faculty members, 45+ labs and workshops, and a network of 800+ recruiters, KU provides an ambitious and impact-driven academic environment for both learners and educators.Role Description The Assistant Professor of Computer Science will engage in teaching undergraduate and/or postgraduate courses in core Computer Science and related fields, including delivering lectures, leading lab sessions, and evaluating student performance. The role involves designing and updating course curricula, developing instructional materials, and integrating current industry trends and research into classroom teaching. The faculty member will be expected to conduct and publish research, guide student projects and theses, participate in academic committees, and contribute to departmental activities and university initiatives. Responsibilities also include mentoring students, fostering a collaborative learning environment, and supporting outreach and industry engagement efforts in Computer Science. This is a full-time, on-site role based at Karnavati University in Gandhinagar.QualificationsStrong foundation in Computer Science, with the ability to teach core subjects and emerging areas.Experience or interest in Curriculum Development, including designing syllabi, assessments, and learning resources.Knowledge and teaching or research experience in specialized domains such as Data Science and Cybersecurity.Proficiency in Programming, with competency in one or more modern programming languages and development environments.Relevant academic qualifications, typically a Master’s or Ph.D. in Computer ScienceDemonstrated research potential through publications, conference presentations, or ongoing projects.Effective classroom management, communication, and mentoring skills, with a learner-centric teaching approach.Ability to collaborate with colleagues, engage with industry partners, and contribute to departmental and university development.
