Assistant Professor of Computer Science

Role Description The Assistant Professor of Computer Science will be responsible for delivering high-quality lectures, labs, and tutorials to undergraduate students in computer science and related disciplines. Day-to-day responsibilities include designing and updating course materials, supervising student projects, guiding research activities, and conducting assessments such as quizzes, assignments, and examinations. The role also involves mentoring students, participating in academic advising, contributing to curriculum development, and engaging in scholarly and departmental activities. Collaboration with colleagues on academic initiatives, committee work, and co-curricular events is expected to support the College’s educational mission. This is a full-time, on-site position based at Fazaia College of Education for Women in Lahore.QualificationsStrong academic background in Computer Science, with demonstrated expertise in core CS concepts.Knowledge and experience in Programming, with the ability to teach and supervise projects using modern languages and tools.Experience in Curriculum Development, including designing, reviewing, and improving course content and learning outcomes.Advanced degree in Computer Science PhD required. NCEAC knowledge required. Prior university-level teaching experience and evidence of effective classroom instruction.Ability to engage in research, publish scholarly work, and contribute to academic growth of the department.Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to learner-centered teaching.Capacity to work collaboratively within a diverse academic community and uphold institutional values and policies.
