The assistant professor will design and deliver undergraduate and postgraduate courses in computer science, including lectures, tutorials, labs, and project supervision. Responsibilities include developing and updating curriculum in line with current industry and research trends, mentoring and advising students, and contributing to departmental academic planning. The role involves conducting and publishing research, securing collaborations and grants where possible, and participating in conferences, workshops, and seminars. The assistant professor will also engage in committee work, academic administration, and outreach activities that support the growth and reputation of the department and university.Qualifications Strong foundation in Computer Science, with the ability to teach core subjects and emerging areas.Expertise in Programming and related software development practices suitable for teaching labs and guiding projects.Knowledge of Data Science concepts and tools for curriculum integration and research applications.Understanding of Cybersecurity principles and practices to support specialized courses or modules.Experience in Curriculum Development aligned with accreditation standards, industry needs, and interdisciplinary learning.PhD or equivalent doctoral degree in Computer Science or a closely related field (or near completion), from a recognized institution.Demonstrated research output through publications, conference presentations, or applied projects.Effective teaching, communication, and classroom management skills, with a student-centered approach.Ability to collaborate with colleagues, contribute to departmental initiatives, and engage with industry partners.Commitment to ethical conduct, inclusivity, and mentoring a diverse student body.
