The team is committed to scaling impactful learning experiences that bridge the gap between academia and industry.Role Description The Assistant Professor of Computer Science (M.Tech & Java) will be responsible for delivering high-quality classroom instruction and mentoring students in core computer science subjects, with a strong emphasis on Java programming. This full-time, on-site role based in Chennai involves designing and updating course materials, conducting lectures, labs, and tutorials, and guiding students through project work and assessments. The role includes collaborating with academic and training teams to align the curriculum with industry expectations, contributing to placement-focused training modules, and engaging in academic planning and review meetings. The Assistant Professor will also provide academic counseling, support student queries, and participate in workshops, bootcamps, and other academic events organized by FACE Prep.QualificationsStrong foundation in Computer Science, with the ability to teach core undergraduate and postgraduate subjects effectively.Experience in Curriculum Development, including designing syllabi, learning outcomes, and assessment methods aligned with industry needs.Applied knowledge in Data Science concepts and tools, with an interest in integrating data-driven approaches into teaching.Proficiency in Programming, particularly Java, with the ability to mentor students on coding best practices and problem-solving.M.Tech or equivalent postgraduate degree in Computer Science or a closely related discipline from a recognized institution.Prior teaching or training experience in academic or professional settings, preferably with tech-focused cohorts.Excellent communication, classroom management, and mentoring skills, with a learner-centric and inclusive approach.Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and adapt teaching methods based on feedback and learning analytics.Interest in continuous professional development, staying current with emerging technologies and pedagogical practices.
