Location: Amity University, Ranchi, JharkhandPosition: Assistant Professor – EconomicsEmployment Type: Full-TimeAbout the RoleAmity University, Ranchi is looking for a qualified and research-oriented Assistant Professor of Economics who is passionate about teaching, research, and student development.Key ResponsibilitiesTeach Economics courses at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.Prepare lectures, course materials, assignments, and examinations.Mentor and guide students in academic and research activities.Conduct and publish high-quality research in reputed journals.Participate in conferences, seminars, workshops, and faculty development programmes.Develop research projects and seek external research funding.Contribute to curriculum development and departmental academic activities.QualificationPh.D. in Economics or a relevant discipline is mandatory.Master's degree in Economics or a related field with a strong academic record.Candidates should meet applicable UGC and university eligibility norms.Preferred ProfileStrong research and publication record, preferably in Scopus/Web of Science-indexed journals.Good knowledge of Econometrics, Quantitative Methods, and Economic Research.Experience with software such as R, Python, Stata, EViews, or SPSS will be an advantage.Teaching or research experience in a university/college/research institution is preferred.Strong communication, analytical, and academic writing skills.Ideal CandidateWe are looking for someone who combines excellent teaching ability with a strong research mindset, is committed to student development, and wants to build a long-term academic career.Interested candidates may apply with their updated CV highlighting their academic qualifications, research publications, teaching experience, and research interests.
