The institution is recognized as one of India’s leading degree colleges offering integrated IAS and IPS training.Role Description The Assistant Professor of English will be a full-time, on-site faculty member based at the Bengaluru South campus. The role involves planning and delivering undergraduate courses in English language and literature, aligning with institutional objectives and integrated civil services coaching. Daily responsibilities include preparing lesson plans, teaching lectures and seminars, guiding discussions, assessing student performance, and providing academic mentoring. The faculty member will contribute to curriculum improvement, participate in departmental meetings, support co-curricular activities, and collaborate with colleagues to enhance student outcomes. Engagement in academic advising, question paper setting, evaluation, and contribution to institutional development initiatives is expected.Qualifications Candidates should possess strong skills in English Teaching and Teaching, with demonstrated experience in classroom instruction at the undergraduate level.Candidates should possess expertise in English Literature and Literature, with the ability to teach core and elective courses and contextualize texts within social and cultural frameworks.Candidates should possess skills in Curriculum Development, including designing syllabi, assessment methods, and learning materials that support diverse learning needs.Master’s degree (or higher) in English or a closely related discipline from a recognized institution; a Ph.D. in English is preferred.Excellent spoken and written communication skills, strong academic mentoring abilities, and a student-centered teaching approach.Ability to integrate contemporary teaching methods, use educational technology, and collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.Familiarity with civil services exam patterns and an interest in supporting exam-oriented preparation will be an added advantage.
