The role involves designing and delivering undergraduate and postgraduate finance courses, preparing lesson plans, and using contemporary pedagogical methods to engage learners. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting lectures and tutorials, mentoring and advising students, supervising projects and dissertations, and contributing to curriculum development aligned with industry and regulatory standards. The Assistant Professor will be expected to carry out independent and collaborative research, publish in reputable journals, participate in academic conferences, and support departmental initiatives. Additional responsibilities include involvement in academic administration, student outreach activities, and fostering partnerships with industry and professional bodies.QualificationsCandidates should possess strong expertise in Finance and Corporate Finance, with the ability to teach core and elective courses in these areas.Candidates should possess solid knowledge in Accounting, including financial statements analysis and applied accounting concepts relevant to business and finance.Candidates should possess a strong foundation in Economics, with the ability to connect economic theory to financial markets and corporate decision-making.Candidates should possess robust Research skills, including quantitative and qualitative methods, academic writing, and publication in peer-reviewed outlets.Relevant academic qualifications such as a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree in Finance or a closely related discipline (or near completion), with a strong academic record.Demonstrated teaching experience at the university level, with effective communication, classroom management, and student mentoring abilities.Ability to integrate practical, industry-focused insights into teaching, and willingness to engage with corporate partners and professional associations.Commitment to ethical conduct, inclusive teaching practices, and continuous professional development in the fields of finance and education.
