CTPL collaborates with the broader higher education ecosystem to deliver high-value, low-cost digital experiences, from admissions to fully digital campuses.Role Description The Assistant Professor of Finance will be responsible for teaching undergraduate and/or postgraduate finance courses, designing and delivering lectures, tutorials, and assessments that align with institutional curricula and industry needs. Day-to-day tasks include preparing course materials, supervising student projects, advising students on academic progress, and contributing to curriculum development in finance and related areas. The role also involves conducting academic or applied research, publishing in relevant journals, and participating in departmental meetings, academic events, and quality assurance activities. The Assistant Professor will collaborate with colleagues and industry partners to integrate practical financial and economic insights into teaching and to support CTPL’s broader EdTech initiatives. This is a full-time, on-site position based in Mohali district.QualificationsStrong foundation in Finance and Corporate Finance, with the ability to teach core and advanced topics.Proficiency in Accounting principles and practices relevant to business and financial decision-making.Solid understanding of Economics, including micro and macroeconomic concepts applied to financial markets.Demonstrated Research skills, including the ability to design studies, analyze data, and publish scholarly work.Relevant postgraduate degree (e.g., MBA in Finance, M.Com, or Master’s in Finance/Economics); PhD or enrollment in a doctoral program in Finance or related field is highly desirable.Prior teaching or academic experience at the college or university level, with strong classroom facilitation and communication skills.Ability to integrate digital tools and EdTech platforms into teaching and assessment, aligning with CTPL’s technology-driven environment.Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving abilities, with a commitment to student-centered, inclusive pedagogy.Capacity to work collaboratively within academic teams and engage with industry stakeholders to keep course content current and market-relevant.
