The role involves delivering undergraduate and postgraduate lectures in finance and related areas, designing course content and assessments, and guiding learners through case studies and practical financial applications. Day-to-day responsibilities include supervising research projects, mentoring learners on academic and career paths, and contributing to curriculum development aligned with current industry and academic standards. The role also includes participating in departmental meetings, engaging in scholarly research and publication, supporting accreditation and quality initiatives, and contributing to university events and outreach activities.Qualifications Strong expertise in core Finance domains, including areas such as investment analysis, financial markets, and risk management.Solid grounding in Accounting principles and practices relevant to teaching and academic research.Demonstrated Research skills with the ability to publish in peer-reviewed journals and guide student research projects.Sound knowledge of Economics to contextualize financial concepts within broader economic environments.Proficiency in Corporate Finance, including capital budgeting, valuation, and corporate governance topics.Relevant advanced degree (preferably PhD or equivalent) in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a closely related field; candidates with a strong academic record and teaching experience will be preferred.Effective communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage diverse groups of learners using inclusive and innovative teaching methods.Ability to integrate technology into teaching (e.g., learning management systems, data analysis tools, and financial software) and collaborate within a multidisciplinary academic environment.Commitment to ethical academic practice, continuous learning, and contributing to the university’s research and community engagement initiatives.
