The individual in this role will deliver undergraduate and postgraduate lectures in finance and related areas, design and update course curricula, and prepare teaching materials aligned with current academic and industry standards. Day-to-day responsibilities include mentoring and advising students, supervising projects and dissertations, conducting high-quality research, and publishing in reputable academic journals. The role also involves participation in departmental meetings, contribution to accreditation and quality assurance activities, collaboration on interdisciplinary initiatives, and engagement with industry partners to enhance practical learning and internship opportunities. The Assistant Professor is expected to uphold the university’s values-driven culture and contribute to a positive, inclusive academic environment.QualificationsStrong foundation in Finance and Corporate Finance, with the ability to teach core and elective courses in these areas.Knowledge of Accounting principles and practices relevant to financial decision-making and reporting.Background in Economics to support teaching and research on markets, policy, and macro- and microeconomic issues.Demonstrated Research skills, including the ability to design studies, analyze data, and publish in peer-reviewed journals.Doctoral degree (PhD or equivalent) in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a closely related discipline from a recognized institution.Prior teaching experience at the university level, with evidence of effective classroom instruction and student engagement.Ability to integrate practical, industry-focused perspectives into teaching and curriculum development.Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to inclusive teaching and mentoring.Capacity to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary academic community and contribute to institutional development.
