Assistant Professor of Gastroenterology, Motility

The University of Miami Health System is initiating a search for an Assistant Professor of Gastroenterology specializing in Motilty. The Clinical Track Gastroenterology Physician will provide comprehensive inpatient and outpatient gastrointestinal care across University of Miami Health System and Jackson Memorial Hospital locations.The ideal candidate will have expertise in gastrointestinal motility disorders and experience interpreting esophageal manometry and hydrogen breath testing.Responsibilities Include: Maintain an outpatient clinical practice at UHealth locations, including UHealth Towers and satellite clinics.Provide inpatient Gastroenterology consultation services and teaching coverage at Jackson Memorial Hospital and UHealth Towers.Perform outpatient endoscopic procedures.Read, interpret, and finalize motility studies for outpatients.Oversee motility testing performed by ancillary clinical staff.Participate in night, weekend, and holiday call rotations proportionate to other faculty members.Rotate on Gastroenterology inpatient and Jackson Memorial Hospital teaching services proportionate to other faculty.Qualifications:MD or DO required Internal Medicine residency Hepatology fellowship Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology.Valid unrestricted Florida medical licenseValid DEA certificationFor details, contact:Marisol VegaPhysician Recruiter305-399-1160
