Offering undergraduate (B.B.A. LL.B., LL.B.), postgraduate (LL.M.), and doctoral (Ph.D.) programs, the school focuses on combining sound academic theory with practical advocacy skills, multidisciplinary research, and ethical legal practice.Position SummaryMIT SOL invites applications from dynamic, dedicated, and research-oriented academics for the position of Assistant Professor. The successful candidate will teach undergraduate and postgraduate law courses, publish high-impact research, mentor students, and contribute to institutional committees and extracurricular legal activities (e.g., Moot Court, Legal Aid).Key ResponsibilitiesTeaching & Curriculum Development: Deliver high-quality lectures, seminars, and tutorials across B.B.A. LL.B., LL.B., and LL.M. courses. Design curriculum and update course modules in line with Bar Council of India (BCI) norms, modern legal developments, and NEP 2020 guidelines.Research & Publications: Conduct original legal research and publish regularly in SCOPUS, Web of Science, or UGC-CARE listed journals.Mentorship & Co-Curriculars: Supervise student dissertations, mentor students for national/international Moot Court competitions, client counseling, and manage the Legal Aid Clinic.Institutional Governance: Actively participate in administrative duties, examination evaluation, accreditation processes (NAAC/NIRF), and university committees.Industry & Extension Activities: Organize seminars, workshops, continuous legal education programs, and foster industry-academia collaborations.Eligibility Criteria & QualificationsMandatory Requirements:Educational Qualification: Master’s Degree in Law (LL.M.) with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point-scale wherever grading system is followed) from a recognized Indian University or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university.National Eligibility: Must have cleared the NET (National Eligibility Test) conducted by the UGC or a similar test accredited by the UGC (e.g., SET/SLET).Strongly Preferred:Doctorate Degree: Ph.D. in Law from a recognized university will be strongly preferred.
