The role involves delivering high-quality lectures, tutorials, and laboratory sessions in mathematics and related areas, as well as guiding students through assignments, projects, and examinations. The Assistant Professor will participate in curriculum development, prepare course materials, and adopt innovative teaching methods to enhance student learning outcomes. Responsibilities include engaging in research and scholarly activities, publishing in reputable journals, and contributing to academic events such as seminars, workshops, and conferences. The role also involves mentoring students, participating in departmental and university committees, and supporting initiatives that strengthen the academic and institutional culture.Qualifications Strong academic foundation and teaching competence in Mathematics and Applied Mathematics.Ability to teach and integrate related disciplines such as Physics and Statistics where required.Experience or interest in Curriculum Development, including designing syllabi, assessments, and learning resources.Relevant postgraduate degree (e.g., M.Sc. or M.A. in Mathematics) from a recognized institution; a Ph.D. in Mathematics or a closely related field is highly desirable.Demonstrated potential for research, publications, and participation in academic conferences or workshops.Effective classroom management and use of modern pedagogical tools and educational technologies.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage a diverse student body.Commitment to ethical academic practices, collaborative work with colleagues, and continuous professional development.
