Assistant Professor of Political Science (Public Administration)

Role Description The Assistant Professor of Political Science (Public Administration) will be responsible for teaching undergraduate and postgraduate courses, with a focus on public administration and related areas of political science. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing and delivering lectures, designing and updating curricula, conducting tutorials and seminars, assessing student performance, and providing academic advising and mentorship. The role also involves engaging in research, publishing in academic journals, participating in conferences, and contributing to departmental and university committees. The faculty member is expected to support extracurricular academic activities, foster an inclusive learning environment, and collaborate with colleagues on interdisciplinary initiatives. This is a full-time, on-site position based at Amity University Patna.QualificationsStrong academic background and expertise in Political Science and Political Philosophy.Demonstrated ability to teach and engage students in Comparative Politics and Public Administration.Experience or clear potential in Curriculum Development for university-level political science programs.Proven or emerging competence in University Teaching, including lectures, seminars, and student supervision.PhD or near completion in Political Science, Public Administration, or a closely related discipline (UGC-recognized qualifications preferred).Evidence of research activity such as publications, conference presentations, or ongoing projects in relevant fields.Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to teach in English and support diverse learners.Commitment to ethical academic practices, student-centric pedagogy, and collaborative work within the department.Familiarity with contemporary teaching methods, educational technologies, and outcome-based education frameworks is an advantage.
