UPES is hiring an Assistant Professor of Psychology, School of Liberal Studies and Humanities!Two positions for Crisis Management Counsellor -Qualification: PHD or Master's degree in clinical psychology/ counselling psychology/ social psychology, along with relevant professional experience in counselling or psychological support, preferably within a student or higher-education setting.Role:The Crisis Management Counsellor will be the first reponder for every student who walks in.The role will involve crisis assessment, emotional first aid, brief counselling and supportive interventions, risk identification and management, appropriate referrals and escalation to senior mental health professionals and confidential case documentation.The counsellor will also work closely with faculty, wardens, student support teams, and other stakeholders to facilitate an integrated student-support system.One position for Counselling SupervisorQualification: PHD or Master's degree in clinical psychology or counselling psychology with at least 10–15 years of relevant professional experience. Substantial experience in counselling, clinical supervision, crisis intervention, and preferably working with young adults or higher-education populations.Role:The Counselling Supervisor will provide senior professional guidance for the counselling services of the University, ensuring that student mental health support is ethical, evidence-informed, confidential, and aligned with institutional protocols.The role will involve supervising counsellors and complex cases, guiding risk assessment and crisis-management decisions, reviewing referrals and escalation pathways.Supporting the development and implementation of counselling protocols and documentation systems, and providing professional guidance for cases requiring multidisciplinary or external clinical intervention.
