Apply & track with Apply EdgeRole Description The Assistant Professor of Public Administration will be responsible for delivering undergraduate and postgraduate courses, including preparing lesson plans, lectures, and classroom activities aligned with the curriculum. The role involves designing assessments, evaluating student performance, providing academic guidance, and maintaining accurate records of student progress. The Assistant Professor will engage in scholarly research, publish in academic journals, and participate in conferences and seminars to enhance the department’s academic profile. Responsibilities also include contributing to curriculum development, participating in departmental and university committees, and supporting outreach and academic events. This is a full-time, on-site role based at Amity University Patna in Patna.QualificationsStrong knowledge of Public Administration, including public policy, governance, administrative theory, and related social science domains.Demonstrated ability in teaching, curriculum planning, and student mentoring at the undergraduate and/or postgraduate level.Experience or potential in academic research, including designing studies, data analysis, and publishing in peer-reviewed journals.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex concepts clearly and effectively.Ability to collaborate with colleagues, contribute to departmental activities, and participate in institutional committees and initiatives.Minimum qualification of a Master’s degree in Public Administration or a closely related discipline; Ph.D. or ongoing doctoral work in Public Administration or a related field is highly desirable.Familiarity with contemporary public sector issues in India and globally, and openness to interdisciplinary approaches.Commitment to inclusive, learner-centered teaching practices and to fostering an environment of academic integrity and mutual respect.
