Assistant professor -placement coordinator

Role Description The Assistant Professor – Placement Coordinator is a full-time, on-site role based in Bengaluru. This position involves teaching and mentoring learners, integrating industry-relevant content into the curriculum, and supporting academic activities. The role also includes establishing and maintaining relationships with employers, coordinating campus placement drives, organizing internships, and preparing learners for interviews and selection processes. The coordinator will track placement outcomes, maintain placement records, and collaborate with internal stakeholders to improve employability initiatives and career support programs.Qualifications Strong academic background in a relevant discipline (such as Management, Commerce, Food Technology, or related fields), with a postgraduate degree; prior teaching or academic coordination experience is preferred.Proficiency in student mentoring, career counseling, and soft skills training (including communication, presentation, and interview preparation).Experience in industry liaison, employer outreach, and organizing placement drives, job fairs, or internship programs.Ability to plan and manage events, coordinate schedules, and maintain accurate placement and student progress records.Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; ability to collaborate effectively with students, faculty, and external partners.Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to handle multiple responsibilities and meet deadlines.Comfort with basic digital tools and office software for data management, reporting, and online communication.Demonstrated commitment to ethical practices, inclusivity, and supporting diverse learners in achieving their career goals.
