The role delivers high-quality instruction, conducts research, supports students, participates in academic activities, and contributes to departmental and institutional goals.Key ResponsibilitiesDeliver lectures, tutorials, seminars, workshops, and practical sessions in the assigned discipline.Develop and update course materials, syllabi, lesson plans, presentations, and learning resources.Apply effective and engaging teaching methods to support student learning.Design and evaluate examinations, assignments, projects, presentations, and other assessments.Provide academic advising, mentoring, guidance, and support to students.Supervise undergraduate, postgraduate, and research students where applicable.Conduct original research and contribute to academic publications and conferences.Prepare and publish research papers in recognized academic journals.Participate in research projects, grants, academic collaborations, and professional activities.Contribute to curriculum development, program reviews, and academic quality improvement.Participate in departmental meetings, academic committees, examinations, and institutional activities.Maintain accurate teaching, student, assessment, research, and academic records.Collaborate with faculty members, researchers, industry professionals, and academic institutions.Support student projects, dissertations, theses, internships, and research activities.Stay updated with developments, technologies, research, and best practices within the discipline.Support accreditation, academic quality assurance, and institutional compliance requirements.Contribute to improving teaching quality, research performance, student outcomes, academic standards, and institutional development.QualificationsMaster's or PhD degree in the relevant academic discipline, depending on the position and institutional requirements.Previous university or higher-education teaching experience is preferred.Strong academic background and subject-matter expertise in the relevant field.Experience in teaching, curriculum development, assessment, and student supervision.Research experience and publications in recognized academic journals are advantageous.Strong knowledge of current theories, practices, technologies, and developments within the discipline.Experience participating in academic research projects, conferences, seminars, or professional activities.Excellent communication, presentation, teaching, mentoring, and interpersonal skills.Strong analytical, research, problem-solving, and academic writing abilities.Ability to develop engaging course materials and deliver student-focused learning.Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant learning-management or academic systems.Relevant professional memberships, certifications, or academic recognition are advantageous.Ability to manage teaching, research, student supervision, and academic deadlines.Professional, ethical, organized, collaborative, and committed to academic excellence.Strong commitment to teaching quality, research excellence, student development, academic integrity, innovation, and continuous improvement.
