Sponsored by the Medhavi Foundation, an NSDC partner founded by IIT alumni, MSU impacts over 100,000 learners annually through skill development and education initiatives.Role Description The Assistant Professor in the School of Computer Science (M.Tech) will design and deliver postgraduate courses, conduct lectures, tutorials, and laboratory sessions, and evaluate student performance through assignments, projects, and examinations. The role involves contributing to curriculum development aligned with industry needs, supervising student research and dissertations, and supporting skills-based learning pathways. The faculty member will engage in academic advising, participate in departmental meetings and committees, and collaborate with industry partners on projects, internships, and applied research initiatives. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Gangtok, requiring regular presence on campus and active participation in university activities.Qualifications Candidates should possess strong foundational knowledge in Computer Science and related disciplines.Candidates should possess skills in Programming and applied computing relevant to M.Tech-level teaching and projects.Candidates should possess expertise in Data Science and its tools, methodologies, and applications.Candidates should possess knowledge in Cybersecurity concepts, practices, and emerging trends.Candidates should possess experience in Curriculum Development, especially for skills-based and industry-integrated programs.Master’s degree (M.Tech/M.E) in Computer Science or a closely related field; Ph.D. or enrollment in a Ph.D. program is preferred.Prior teaching or academic experience at the postgraduate level, or significant industry experience in relevant domains.Ability to conduct research, publish in peer-reviewed venues, and guide student projects aligned with industry needs.Strong communication, mentoring, and collaboration skills, with a commitment to inclusive and learner-centric education.Willingness to engage with industry partners, support internships and apprenticeships, and contribute to university outreach.
