Assistant Program DirectorFull-Time / Reports to: Senior Director of Programs & Outreach(Will also consider experienced candidates for a part time role)About First Tee-GCNKY First Tee-Greater Cincinnati & Northern Kentucky is a 501C3 affiliate of an international youth development organization. Reaching more 27,000 kids and teens across seven counties through engagement on the golf course, in schools, and in partnership with other youth organizations, First Tee integrates the game of golf with a research-based life skills curriculum to build character, confidence, and resilience. Through caring coaches and volunteers, we are Building Game Changers and strengthening futures for all kids.About the PositionOur Chapter is seeking a capable and dynamic Assistant Program Director, who is willing to grow personally and professionally in a dynamic, fast-paced and casual, but professional environment. Reporting to the Program Director, you will make an immediate impact by growing and supporting our critical volunteer base, implementing school-based programs, facilitating equipment donations, as well as by collaborating with our programs team to execute youth programming throughout Greater Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky. We are a small team of four staff members, with strong regional support, including over 100 volunteers, 20 head coaches, backed by the network of First Tee’s global reach! Responsibilities include:Volunteer ManagementRecruit, train, and manage a diverse team of volunteers to support various programs and events.Develop and implement volunteer engagement strategies to ensure a positive and fulfilling experience for volunteers.Foster a sense of community and teamwork among volunteers while effectively communicating the organization's mission and goals.Program CoordinationCollaborate with the Program Director to plan and implement youth development programs that align with First Tee's curriculum and values.Oversee the day-to-day operations of assigned programs, ensuring a safe and positive environment for all participants.Coordinate logistics for program sessions, events, and tournaments.Oversee Golf Club Donation program including communication and coordination with donors, collection, inventory, and redistribution.Spearhead the chapter's School Program by cultivating P.E. teacher partnerships, coordinating equipment logistics, and providing ongoing operational support to partner schools.Relationship BuildingCultivate and maintain positive relationships with program participants, their families, and community partners.Keen ability to relate to and effectively communicate with others in various settings including face-to-face and over electronic means.Collaborate with local schools, community organizations, and other stakeholders to maintain and strategically expand program reach and impact that supports our desire to expand access to the game and its inherent life lessons to those who might not otherwise be exposed.Data ManagementMaintain accurate and up-to-date records of program participation, volunteer hours, and other relevant data.Utilize volunteer management software to track, manage, and assign volunteers to chapter opportunitiesMonitor and ensure chapter constituents maintain compliance with youth safety standards in Salesforce.Event PlanningAssist in the planning and execution of chapter special events, including fundraisers, tournaments, and outreach activities.Coordinate logistics, manage volunteers, and ensure a seamless and memorable experience for participants and attendees.Other duties as assigned.QualificationsMinimum Bachelor's degree in a related field (education, sports management, nonprofit management, etc.) or equivalent experience.Passion for youth development, education, the impact of youth athletics on personal development and the mission of First Tee.Proven experience in volunteer management, program coordination, event planning, or related roles.Strong organizational and project management skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.How to ApplyInterested candidates should submit a resume, cover letter, and three professional references to ben@firstteegnky.org.
