This role supports the purchasing function by sourcing materials and products, evaluating suppliers, and assisting in negotiations to secure competitive pricing and favorable terms. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing and processing purchase orders, tracking deliveries, maintaining accurate procurement records, and coordinating with warehouse, production, and finance teams to ensure timely availability of stock. The Assistant Purchasing Manager also monitors supplier performance, helps maintain vendor relationships, and supports continuous improvement of purchasing processes and cost control.Qualifications Strong purchasing, procurement, and vendor management skills, with experience in sourcing materials and products for manufacturing or related industries.Competence in inventory management, data analysis, and basic cost control to support accurate ordering and budget adherence.Proficiency in MS Excel and other office productivity tools; familiarity with ERP or purchasing software is an advantage.Effective communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills to collaborate with suppliers and internal teams.Solid organizational and time-management abilities, with attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.Ability to work on-site in Vasai, adapt to a fast-paced environment, and contribute to cross-functional teamwork.Relevant diploma or bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Commerce, Business, or a related field; prior experience in purchasing or supply chain in manufacturing or HORECA/household products is preferred.
