Assistant Purchasing Manager (Footwear Materials)

To lead the operational execution of the factory’s material purchasing strategy for footwear samples and mass production, under the guidance of the Head of Purchasing/Factory Manager. Secure the right materials, from the right suppliers, at the right cost and lead time, while managing supplier performance and maintaining clear, timely information flow with internal teams and external partners so that material availability supports all production and sample timelines without compromising quality or budget.Work location: Long Hau Expanded Industrial Park, Can Giuoc District, Long An ProvinceRESPONSIBILITES1. Purchasing Execution & Material Planning· Ensure all materials are created with correct material codes in the system before any purchase orders are issued.· Place orders for sample and bulk materials within 24 hours after all necessary information is received from relevant teams.· Calculate material quantities based on specifications and consumption.· Work closely with the Odoo system to maintain accurate material master data, pricing, order information, and inventory records.2. Supplier Management & Delivery Control· Maintain and update material tracking reports daily and share them with all stakeholders.· Follow up suppliers to obtain and confirm ETD for each material within three days from order placement, and keep the system updated.· For any risk of supplier delay, actively follow up and, when necessary, visit local suppliers to accelerate delivery and secure materials on time.· Prepare, submit, and follow up all payment request documentation to ensure suppliers are paid accurately and on time.· Prepare regular reports on supplier delivery and service performance and present them to the Line Manager for review and follow‑up.3. Receiving, Quality & Logistics· Monitor material arrivals and coordinate approval status with the Warehouse team.· Coordinate all material quality issues with the Line Manager, suppliers, and internal teams, ensuring clear feedback, agreed corrective actions, and timely resolution for any rejected materials.· Track all material dispatches, check shipment contents upon arrival, and promptly inform the Warehouse/Factory team of any discrepancies.· Ensure smooth inbound and internal shipment of materials to Warehouse & Factory by selecting appropriate logistics methods and managing AWB, customs, and all related documents. REQUIREMENTSDegree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or relevant fieldMinimum 3 years of experience in purchasing/procumbent department in Manufacturing environment Experienced in footwear/apparel/bag material purchasing, material development, or sample making procedures.Hands-on experience with purchasing ERP systems (such as Odoo or similar platforms) is preferred. The ability to leverage AI and other digital tools to optimize daily workflows is a highly regarded.Confident in collaborating with cross-functional teams.Strong proficiency in English /Vietnamese, including reading, speaking, writing, and listening abilities.
