You will oversee daily operations, lead and develop the recreation team, coordinate engaging activities and wellness programs, and ensure that all facilities and services consistently meet the highest standards of guest experience, safety, cleanliness, and operational excellence.The role requires a proactive and guest-focused leader who can effectively manage multiple recreation functions, motivate colleagues, resolve operational challenges, and contribute to the continuous improvement of recreation offerings.At Red Sea Global Hospitality, we take pride in representing our resorts and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to visitors from around the globe. As an Assistant Recreation Manager, you will need to:Recreation Operations & Guest ExperienceAssist the Head of Spa & Recreation in managing the day-to-day operations of all recreation and leisure facilities, including pools, fitness areas, kids' clubs, sports facilities, and other recreational amenities.Ensure all recreation services and facilities consistently deliver exceptional guest experiences and meet luxury hospitality standards.Plan, coordinate, and oversee a diverse range of recreational, wellness, fitness, and sports activities suitable for different guest profiles and age groups.Monitor guest participation, preferences, and feedback to continuously improve recreation programs and offerings.Ensure facilities, equipment, and activity areas are clean, well-maintained, properly presented, and ready for guest use.Address guest requests, concerns, and complaints professionally, ensuring timely resolution and appropriate follow-up.Coordinate with other hotel departments to ensure seamless delivery of guest activities, events, and resort experiences.Team Leadership & DevelopmentSupervise, coach, and support the recreation team, including supervisors, lifeguards, fitness trainers, activity coordinators, and other recreation colleagues.Assist in workforce planning, scheduling, and deployment of recreation colleagues to ensure adequate operational coverage.Conduct team briefings, performance discussions, and regular coaching sessions to promote high standards of service and professionalism.Support the recruitment, onboarding, training, and development of recreation colleagues.Ensure colleagues are fully trained in guest service standards, recreation procedures, equipment operation, and health and safety requirements.Foster a positive, collaborative, and inclusive team environment aligned with Red Sea Global Hospitality's values.Health, Safety & Risk ManagementEnsure all recreation operations comply with applicable health, safety, hygiene, and regulatory requirements.Conduct regular inspections of recreation facilities, equipment, and activity areas and ensure identified issues are promptly addressed.Ensure appropriate risk assessments and safety procedures are in place for recreation activities.Monitor compliance with pool safety, lifeguarding, first aid, emergency response, and equipment handling procedures.Lead or support emergency response procedures and ensure recreation colleagues are prepared to respond effectively to incidents.Maintain accurate records of incidents, inspections, maintenance requirements, and corrective actions.Promote a strong safety culture among colleagues and guests.Activities & Program DevelopmentDevelop and implement innovative recreation programs, activities, and events that enhance the overall guest experience.Coordinate daily, weekly, and seasonal recreation schedules in line with resort occupancy, guest demographics, and operational requirements.Introduce new activities and experiences that support the resort's wellness, leisure, and entertainment offerings.Collaborate with the Spa & Wellness team and other departments to develop integrated wellness and recreational experiences.Ensure activities are delivered consistently and professionally while maintaining appropriate safety standards.Financial & Administrative ResponsibilitiesAssist the Head of Spa & Recreation with departmental budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and resource planning.Monitor operational expenses and identify opportunities to improve efficiency without compromising guest experience or safety.Monitor inventory levels of recreation equipment, uniforms, supplies, and other operational materials.Coordinate timely procurement, replacement, and maintenance of recreation equipment and supplies.Maintain accurate operational records, including activity participation, guest feedback, incidents, equipment inspections, and maintenance reports.Prepare regular operational reports and provide relevant updates and recommendations to the Head of Spa & Recreation.Support the implementation and monitoring of departmental policies, procedures, and service standards.Maintenance & Facility ManagementCoordinate with Engineering, Housekeeping, and other relevant departments to ensure recreation facilities remain in excellent operating condition.Report maintenance requirements and follow up on corrective actions to minimize disruption to guests.Ensure recreation equipment is regularly inspected, properly stored, and maintained according to manufacturer and safety requirements.Assist in planning preventive maintenance and replacement requirements for recreation facilities and equipment.Quality & Continuous ImprovementMonitor service delivery and operational standards across all recreation areas.Conduct regular quality checks and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, safety, and guest satisfaction.Stay informed about current recreation, wellness, fitness, and hospitality trends and recommend relevant initiatives.Support the implementation of guest feedback and operational improvement initiatives.Ensure all recreation services reflect the resort's luxury positioning and Red Sea Global Hospitality standards.Key QualificationsEducation and ExperienceBachelor’s degree or diploma in Hospitality Management, Recreation Management, Sports Management, Leisure Management, Tourism, Wellness, or a related field.Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience in recreation, leisure, wellness, fitness, sports, or guest activities within a luxury hotel, resort, wellness destination, or similar hospitality environment.At least 1–2 years of experience in a supervisory or management capacity, with responsibility for leading a recreation, leisure, fitness, or activities team.Proven experience overseeing the daily operations of recreation facilities, activities, and guest programs.Experience in developing and implementing recreational, fitness, wellness, and sports activities for diverse guest profiles.Strong knowledge of health, safety, hygiene, risk management, and emergency procedures relevant to recreation operations.Experience in team scheduling, colleague training, performance management, and operational coordination.Previous experience managing guest feedback, service recovery, and guest complaints in a luxury hospitality environment.Working knowledge of departmental budgeting, inventory control, cost management, and operational reporting.Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with guests, colleagues, and other departments.Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant hospitality or recreation management systems.Ability to work
