Associate Regional Director – BronxPosition SummaryThe Associate Regional Director provides clinical and operational leadership and support to the Regional Director in the oversight of behavioral health and psychosocial services within the assigned Bronx region. This position is responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality clinical services, providing advanced supervision to social work staff and students, supporting staff development, monitoring performance, and contributing to quality improvement initiatives.The Associate Regional Director works collaboratively with an interdisciplinary healthcare team and serves as a key clinical resource for staff, patients, and organizational leadership.Key ResponsibilitiesClinical Leadership & SupervisionProvide direct social work services, including crisis intervention, individual, family, and group counseling, in collaboration with interdisciplinary team members.Complete and/or oversee psychosocial evaluations, treatment plans, shared-care plans, progress documentation, and other required clinical records.Provide advanced clinical supervision to Psychosocial Services staff, interns, and students.Ensure appropriate clinical and on-site supervision for staff and students and promote adherence to professional and organizational standards.Serve as a clinical resource to staff regarding complex cases, crisis situations, and patient needs.Regional OperationsSupport the Regional Director in the overall clinical and operational oversight of assigned practices.Assume primary responsibility for the development, organization, and maintenance of clinical resources and records within assigned practices.Assist with the implementation of regional initiatives, policies, procedures, and organizational priorities.Identify operational and clinical issues and work collaboratively with leadership and interdisciplinary teams to develop solutions.Assist the Regional Director with additional projects and responsibilities as needed.Quality Assurance & Performance ManagementParticipate in departmental quality assurance and quality improvement initiatives under the direction of the Vice President of Psychosocial Services.Monitor and evaluate the quantitative and qualitative performance of supervised staff.Review performance data from multiple sources and use findings to identify opportunities for improvement.Complete probationary and annual performance evaluations for assigned staff within established timeframes.Communicate relevant clinical, operational, and quality-related information to staff, patients, students, and leadership.Staff Development & TrainingOversee orientation and onboarding of new Psychosocial Services staff.Support ongoing staff education, training, and professional development.Help ensure that staff maintain appropriate clinical competencies and comply with organizational and professional standards.Foster a collaborative, accountable, and patient-centered work environment.QualificationsMaster’s degree in Social Work or a related field.Current New York State LCSW license required.Demonstrated experience providing clinical supervision to social workers, interns, or other behavioral health professionals.Previous supervisory experience in a healthcare setting required.Experience in a multi-site ambulatory healthcare environment strongly preferred.Strong understanding of behavioral health, psychosocial services, crisis intervention, and interdisciplinary care.Demonstrated ability to analyze and interpret quantitative and qualitative data from multiple sources.Strong organizational, interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.Ability to manage multiple priorities and assignments in a fast-paced healthcare environment.Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.Bilingual English/Spanish proficiency strongly preferred.Ideal CandidateThe ideal candidate is an experienced, hands-on clinical leader who combines strong social work expertise with the ability to supervise staff, manage competing priorities, analyze performance data, and support the day-to-day operations of multiple healthcare practices.
