Assistant Research Scientist

Role Description The Assistant Research Scientist role is a part-time, remote position focused on supporting research and development initiatives across LED lighting, solar energy, and precast infrastructure solutions. Day-to-day responsibilities include assisting in literature reviews, collecting and analyzing technical and market data, and preparing concise research summaries and reports. The role involves collaborating with senior researchers to design and refine experiments, documenting findings, and helping evaluate product performance and sustainability metrics. The Assistant Research Scientist will also contribute to drafting technical documentation, supporting proposal development, and maintaining organized research records that can be shared across teams.QualificationsStrong research skills, including literature review, data collection, and basic data analysis, with the ability to interpret technical information clearly.Foundational knowledge in fields such as electrical engineering, renewable energy, materials science, or a related discipline relevant to LED, solar, or precast technologies.Proficiency in written communication for preparing reports, summaries, and technical documentation, with attention to clarity and accuracy.Comfort using digital tools for remote collaboration, such as online research databases, spreadsheets, and project management or documentation platforms.Ability to work independently in a remote setting, manage time effectively, and coordinate with cross-functional teams as needed.Relevant academic background (e.g., pursuing or holding a bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering, physics, environmental science, or similar) is preferred.Interest in sustainable technologies, energy efficiency, and innovation, with a willingness to learn and adapt to evolving industry trends.
