Location: Al Ain, UAERole SummaryThe Assistant Resident Engineer (OT Cybersecurity) will support the delivery of an OT cybersecurity enhancement program focused on the onboarding of electrical substations and associated OT/SCADA systems into a centralized Security Operations Centre (SOC).

The role will be involved in site surveys, technical reviews, design validation, implementation support, testing and commissioning, and supervision of cybersecurity activities throughout the project lifecycle while ensuring compliance with project security requirements.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport OT cybersecurity activities across project planning, design, implementation, testing, commissioning, and operational handover phases.Conduct site surveys and assessments for electrical substations and associated OT/SCADA environments.Review OT cybersecurity designs, architectures, and technical documentation to ensure compliance with project requirements.Support the onboarding and integration of substations and OT systems into the central SOC.Coordinate with contractors, vendors, project teams, and stakeholders on cybersecurity-related activities.Monitor implementation progress, conduct site inspections, and ensure adherence to cybersecurity standards and best practices.Support risk assessments, audits, reporting, and remediation activities throughout the project lifecycle.Required Qualifications & SkillsBachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Security, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline.10+ years of experience in OT/ICS cybersecurity, industrial control systems, SCADA environments, or critical infrastructure projects.Strong knowledge of OT cybersecurity frameworks, network security, industrial protocols, and security monitoring technologies.Experience supporting large-scale infrastructure, utility, energy, or industrial projects.Familiarity with SOC integration, security monitoring, incident response, and OT security controls.Additional RequirementsCandidates must be based in the UAE.Experience working on electrical substations is highly preferred.Ability to work on-site in Al Ain and support project activities across survey, design, implementation, and supervision phases.
