Astute’s Power Team is partnered with a market-leading Energy company, to recruit for an Assistant Shift Operations Technician to join their modern Energy from Waste Power Station in Croydon, South London.The vital Assistant Shift Operations Technician role comes with a salary of £46,736 (inclusive of shift allowance and location allowance) + private medical + overtime + benefits.If you’re an Assistant Plant Operator/Production Technician and are looking to work for a leading organisation who invests in training and professional development of their employees, then upload your CV to apply today.Responsibilities and duties of the Assistant Shift Operations Technician roleReporting to the Shift Team Leader, you will be responsible for:Monitoring and conducting plant checks on the machinery within site to ensure optimum performance is always maintained.Carry out and ensure all work is conducted in accordance with the manufacturers guidelines and Safe System of WorkFollow company procedures in reporting accidents, incidents and near misses.Assist in reaching the daily production targets as defined by site management.Have a proactive approach to the improvements of operational and safety efficiencies within siteAssist with loading and unloading operationsOperation of mobile plant and machineryProfessional QualificationsWe are looking for someone with the following:A formal qualification in and engineering discipline would be ideal but not a necessityA health and safety qualification such as IOSH will be advantageousMobile plant operation licences would be ideal (forklift, counterbalance, etc)Personal Skills, Prior Experience And KnowledgeThe Assistant Shift Operations Technician role would suit someone who has:An Understanding of process/factory machinery.Ability to use sensory skills to monitor the running of machinery.Previous experience working within a process, production, or manufacturing environment.A proven track record of high performance in a similar industryWilling to work 12 hour shiftsSalary and benefits of the Assistant Shift Operations Technician role£46,736 (inclusive of shift and location allowances)BonusPrivate medicalOvertimeOther company benefitsAstute People are acting as an employment agency in relation to this vacancy.
