Associate Accountant

Role Description The Associate Accountant is a full-time, on-site role based in Irvine, CA. This role is responsible for supporting day-to-day accounting operations, including recording journal entries, reconciling bank and credit card accounts, and assisting with accounts payable and accounts receivable processes. The Associate Accountant helps prepare financial reports, supports month-end and year-end closing activities, and maintains accurate and organized financial records. The role also involves collaborating with internal teams, responding to routine financial inquiries, and ensuring compliance with company policies and basic accounting standards. This position offers the opportunity to grow in a dynamic environment and support the financial health of Kariba Ventures and its clients.QualificationsStrong foundational accounting skills, including general ledger entries, account reconciliations, and basic financial reporting.Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar) and solid Microsoft Excel skills for spreadsheets and data analysis.Attention to detail, accuracy in data entry, and strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.Ability to interpret and apply basic GAAP principles and follow established financial controls and procedures.Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate professionally across teams.Ability to work on-site in Irvine, CA, with a reliable, consistent work presence and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality.Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.Prior internship or 1–2 years of experience in an accounting or finance support role is preferred but not required.
