The ideal candidate should have strong practical accounting knowledge, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to manage reconciliations, payments, reporting, compliance support, and financial records accurately and within deadlines.Key ResponsibilitiesMaintain accurate and up-to-date books of accounts and financial records.Record and review invoices, receipts, payments, journal entries, and other financial transactions.Perform bank, vendor, and customer ledger reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.Prepare supporting documentation for payments, reimbursements, and other finance transactions.Support payroll, variable pay, and reimbursement processing.Prepare workings and supporting data for GST, TDS, and other applicable statutory compliances.Complete weekly and monthly accounting closure activities.Prepare MIS reports covering cash flow, burn, payments, receivables, and other finance metrics.Map transactions to appropriate projects, departments, and cost heads.Maintain project-wise accounting records, budgets, expense tracking, and variance reports.Prepare project-level financial and management reports using validated accounting data.Coordinate with auditors, consultants, vendors, customers, banks, and internal stakeholders.Maintain complete and audit-ready financial records and documentation.Identify accounting discrepancies, investigate issues, and resolve or escalate them appropriately.Support finance process improvements, controls, and SOP implementation.Take ownership of assigned finance activities and ensure timely and accurate completion.Required Qualifications & ExperienceBachelor’s degree in commerce, Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.1+ year of relevant experience in accounting or finance operations preferred.Strong understanding of accounting principles and the complete accounting cycle.Hands-on experience in General Ledger Accounting, Bank Reconciliation, Accounts Payable & Receivable, Journal Entries, and MIS Reporting.Working knowledge of GST, TDS, and other applicable statutory requirements.Strong numerical ability and attention to detail.Good written and verbal communication skills.Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.Preferred Skills & ExperienceExperience handling the complete accounting cycle.Experience with Zoho Books or similar accounting software.Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel / Google Sheets.Experience preparing cash-flow, payment-status, MIS, project-wise financial, and variance reports.Experience coordinating with internal teams and external stakeholders.Experience in a startup or fast-paced business environment is an advantage.Key CompetenciesAccuracy & Attention to DetailOwnership & AccountabilityAccounting & Reconciliation SkillsAnalytical ThinkingProcess DisciplineDeadline ManagementProblem SolvingCommunication & CoordinationConfidentiality & IntegrityWork ArrangementThis is a full-time, work-from-office position based in Bengaluru. The selected candidate will be required to work from the office during prescribed working hours. Work-from-home or hybrid arrangements are not applicable to this role.Candidate ProfileThe ideal candidate is a hands-on and detail-oriented accounting professional with strong knowledge of day-to-day finance operations, reconciliations, reporting, and compliance. They should be organized, accountable, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced work environment.
