We are looking for a Legal Associate to join our team.This is an opportunity for a Singapore-qualified lawyer who is keen to develop a broad disputes practice and gain hands-on experience in commercial litigation, arbitration, mediation, employment disputes and criminal matters.The ideal candidate will:Be a Singapore-qualified lawyer with 0–5 years’ PQE;Have experience or a strong interest in Singapore Court litigation;Have experience in arbitration and/or mediation, which would be an advantage;Possess a strong foundation in legal research, analysis, drafting and advocacy;Be able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team;Demonstrate initiative, drive, sound judgment and commercial awareness;Have strong written and oral communication skills; andBe organised, responsible and able to manage matters and deadlines effectively.Areas of PracticeDispute ResolutionOur dispute resolution practice covers a broad range of commercial and civil disputes, including:Litigation before the Singapore Courts;Domestic and international arbitration, including proceedings administered by the Singapore International Arbitration Centre (SIAC); andMediation at the Singapore Mediation Centre (SMC) and Singapore International Mediation Centre (SIMC).Associates will have the opportunity to be involved in matters from an early stage, including legal research, drafting pleadings and submissions, preparing evidence, attending hearings and working directly with clients.EmploymentOur employment practice covers both contentious and non-contentious matters. We advise employers and employees on issues including:Employment contracts, letters of offer, handbooks and workplace policies;Recruitment and employment-related documentation;Compliance with Singapore employment laws;Termination of employment and dismissals;Bonus, commission and other remuneration disputes; andEmployment-related claims and litigation.Where employment matters involve fraud, misconduct, financial loss or potential criminal offences, we draw on our dispute resolution and criminal law experience to provide clients with practical and coordinated advice.Criminal Law & InvestigationsOur criminal practice includes representing individuals and businesses in criminal investigations and proceedings, including matters involving:Penal Code offences;Commercial and white-collar crime;Fraud and dishonesty offences; andRegulatory and enforcement investigations.We are looking for someone who is curious, commercially minded and willing to take ownership of their work.
