Reports to: Line Manager / Project Manager Start Date: October 2026 Contract Type: Permanent Location: Rosebank, Johannesburg Main Purpose AIA is recruiting an Associate Consultant to join our Johannesburg team. As AIA expands its presence within Africa and further develops its internal capabilities, we are seeking a full-time consultant to join our young, vibrant, and highly qualified team working on high-impact projects across the private and public sectors. This is a permanent position within AIA's career path (Analyst > Associate Consultant > Senior Associate Consultant > Consultant > Senior Consultant > Manager), with opportunities to become a specialist in an area of interest and grow towards the partner track. The successful candidate will be asked to perform, among others, the following tasks: Engage with clients and manage individual project workstreams Conduct analysis and develop insights and recommendations Structure presentations and develop reports Demonstrate thought leadership and lead solution development Assist with internal organisational initiatives In order to fulfil the above requirements, the successful candidate should display: A willingness to learn and go the extra mile Demonstrated leadership skills At least intermediate user skills in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word Willingness to travel; own car and driver's licence preferred Excellent verbal and written communication Ability to work effectively, both individually and in teams High attention to detail Strong numerical aptitude Good planning and organising skills Adaptable and flexible to change High-quality research, analytical and problem-solving skills Consultants are remunerated at competitive market-related rates. Actual compensation may vary based on individual skills, qualifications and experience.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Delivery Deliver work to scope, quality and deadline Modelling & Quantitative Analysis Build and refine analytical and financial models in Excel Conduct scenario analysis, forecasting and sensitivity testing Translate quantitative outputs into practical and strategic implications Communication & Output Development Present findings clearly to internal stakeholders and clients Ensure reports and presentations are aligned to AIA standards Client & Practice Contribution Contribute to proposals and research inputs where required About AIA Africa International Advisors (AIA) is a boutique management consulting firm offering Strategic and Operational advisory services with a tier-one capability set.
