Our teams work directly with enterprise clients to turn complex business challenges into scalable solutions that create measurable impact.The OpportunityWe're looking for an Associate Data Scientist who can take ownership of data science and machine learning problems from understanding the business context through to delivering a working solution.At this level, you're expected to go beyond executing defined tasks. You'll work directly with client teams, translate ambiguous business problems into analytical approaches, make informed technical decisions, and independently drive key workstreams towards production.You'll work across the lifecycle of AI projects, including data exploration, feature engineering, modelling, experimentation, deployment, and monitoring. Depending on the engagement, you'll also have opportunities to work with Generative AI, APIs, and modern data and ML engineering practices.If you enjoy solving problems independently, working close to the business, and building solutions that actually get used, this role is for you.What You'll DoWork directly with client stakeholders to understand business problems and translate them into data-driven solutions.Independently own data science and machine learning workstreams from problem definition through delivery.Perform data exploration, statistical analysis, feature engineering, and model development across varied business problems.Build, evaluate, and improve production-grade machine learning models using appropriate modelling approaches.Design and analyse experiments, including A/B tests, and translate results into actionable business recommendations.Develop reusable data pipelines, APIs, and internal tools that support AI solutions.Contribute to taking models from experimentation into production, including deployment, monitoring, and iterative improvement.Present model outputs, and recommendations to technical and business stakeholders.Work with cross-functional teams to integrate data science solutions into existing business processes and applications.Evaluate and apply emerging technologies such as LLMs, RAG, Generative AI, and Agentic AI where they can create meaningful business value.Mentor and support junior team members on approaches, modelling practices, and project execution.What You'll Bring2–4 years of professional experience in Data Science, Machine Learning, Analytics, or a closely related field.Strong Python programming skills with hands-on experience using Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn, and relevant ML libraries.Strong SQL skills and experience working with real-world datasets at scale.Solid understanding of statistics, probability, hypothesis testing, and experimental design.Strong understanding of machine learning algorithms, model evaluation, feature engineering, and validation.Hands-on experience with models such as XGBoost, LightGBM, Random Forest, regression, classification, or time-series forecasting.Experience taking ML solutions beyond experimentation, with exposure to deployment, APIs, pipelines, or production environments.Ability to independently investigate ambiguous problems and structure an analytical approach.Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts and recommendations to non-technical stakeholders.Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related quantitative discipline.Nice to HaveExperience with forecasting, pricing, recommendation systems, customer analytics, or optimisation.Experience with Generative AI, LLMs, RAG, LangChain, vector databases, or AI Agents.Experience building APIs using FastAPI or Flask.Experience building internal applications using Streamlit.Exposure to Azure, AWS, Databricks, Docker, Kubernetes, or CI/CD.Experience with MLOps, model monitoring, model registries, or automated pipelines.Experience with web scraping, API integration, or data acquisition.Experience working directly with clients or in a consulting environment.You'll Enjoy This Role If YouLike taking a business problem and figuring out the solution yourself.Are comfortable operating with ambiguity and asking the right questions.Enjoy working directly with clients and understanding how businesses operate.Want ownership rather than being limited to a small part of a project.Care about what happens to a model after it leaves the notebook.Enjoy learning new technologies and applying them to practical problems.Can balance technical depth with business impact.Want to build AI solutions that are actually used.Interested?
