Position: Dental AssociateLocation: Sion, MumbaiEmployment Type: Full-Time | On site Working HoursMonday to Friday: 10:30 AM – 7:00 PMSaturday: 8:30 AM – 2:00 PMContact: hr@dentician.in | www.tonguetieindia.comRole PurposeThe Dental Associate supports the Head Dentist in the clinical assessment and management of patients by preparing comprehensive case histories, organizing diagnostic records, maintaining accurate clinical documentation, assisting with treatment procedures, and ensuring smooth coordination throughout the patient journey.The role requires a detail-oriented and clinically aware professional who can ensure that all relevant patient information, diagnostic records, treatment documentation, and clinical workflows are complete, accurate, and well organized.Key Responsibilities1. Patient History & Clinical DocumentationTake detailed patient case histories and maintain accurate patient records.Document relevant clinical findings, patient concerns, treatment discussions, and follow-up information.Ensure that patient records are complete, updated, and accurately maintained.Assist in preparing and documenting treatment plans as required.2. Diagnostic Record CoordinationCoordinate the collection and sharing of X-rays, CBCT scans, sleep study reports, photographs, and other relevant diagnostic records.Review X-rays, photographs, reports, and patient records to identify missing, unclear, incomplete, or incorrect information.Prepare and organize all relevant diagnostic records and clinical notes before consultations with the Head Dentist.Ensure that the Head Dentist has access to complete and organized patient information before each consultation.3. Patient Communication & CoordinationExplain relevant treatment procedures, expected timelines, and next steps to patients following case history discussions and clinical consultations.Provide patients with appropriate pre-treatment and post-treatment instructions.Assist with patient coordination throughout the treatment journey.Support communication between patients, doctors, therapists, and other clinical team members.4. Clinical Assistance & Treatment SupportAssist the Head Dentist and clinical team during dental procedures and treatment appointments.Support pre-treatment and post-treatment work-up documentation and coordination.Assist with clinical preparation and ensure that the required equipment, records, and materials are available.Assist with relevant diagnostic procedures and clinical workflows as required.5. Clinical Photography & Record ManagementTake standardized intraoral and extraoral photographs for clinical documentation.Upload, organize, and maintain patient photographs and clinical records in the appropriate systems.Ensure proper naming, filing, and organization of clinical documentation.6. Consent & ComplianceEnsure that all required patient consent forms are completed and documented prior to procedures.Maintain patient confidentiality and ensure the proper handling of medical and clinical information.Follow clinic protocols for documentation, record keeping, and patient data management.7. Clinical Coordination & Workflow ManagementCoordinate with the Head Dentist, doctors, therapists, and clinical staff to ensure smooth patient workflow.Ensure that required documentation and diagnostic information are available at the appropriate stage of treatment.Support the clinic in maintaining high standards of clinical documentation and patient care.Identify gaps in clinical records or workflow and ensure timely resolution.Minimum QualificationsBachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS).Good understanding of dental terminology, radiographs, and clinical documentation.Strong understanding of basic dental clinical procedures and patient handling.Good communication and organizational skills.Ability to maintain accurate and detailed patient records.Preferred SkillsKnowledge of patient handling and clinical coordination.Experience with diagnostic record management.Familiarity with dental software and imaging systems.Working knowledge of MS Office and digital documentation systems.Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple patient records.Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary clinical environment.Experience1–3 years of experience in a dental clinic, hospital, or healthcare setup is preferred.Fresh BDS graduates with a strong educational background, good communication skills, and a willingness to learn may also be considered.Ideal CandidateThe ideal candidate is:Clinically aware and detail-oriented.Highly organized with strong documentation skills.Comfortable reviewing and managing clinical records and diagnostic reports.Confident in communicating with patients.Professional, responsible, and dependable.Comfortable working closely with a senior dentist and a multidisciplinary clinical team.Eager to develop expertise in advanced dental care and specialty clinical workflows.Core CompetenciesClinical documentationPatient communicationDiagnostic record managementClinical coordinationAttention to detailOrganization and time managementTeamwork and collaborationConfidentiality and professionalismWillingness to learn and grow
