DentaCross also supports accessible care through the Child Dental Benefit Scheme, Department of Veterans’ Affairs, and Metro North Emergency and General Vouchers.Role Description The Associate Dentist will provide high-quality general dental care to patients of all ages, including examinations, diagnosis, treatment planning, and delivery of restorative, preventive, and basic cosmetic procedures. Day-to-day responsibilities include performing routine check-ups, fillings, extractions, root canal treatments, periodontal care, and emergency pain relief, while ensuring a gentle, patient-focused approach. The role involves clear communication of treatment options, maintaining accurate clinical records, complying with infection control standards, and collaborating closely with dental assistants and reception staff to support smooth clinic operations. The Associate Dentist will also contribute to patient education on oral health and may participate in practice growth initiatives and community outreach. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Rothwell, QLD.Qualifications Current registration (or eligibility for registration) with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a dentist.Demonstrated clinical skills in general dentistry, including examinations, restorations, extractions, endodontics, and preventive care.Strong patient communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and explain treatment plans in a clear, respectful manner.Commitment to high standards of infection control, clinical safety, and adherence to relevant dental regulations and guidelines.Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary dental team and contribute to a supportive, inclusive practice culture.Solid organizational and time-management skills to manage appointment schedules and maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation.Experience with dental practice management software and digital record-keeping is advantageous.Interest or experience in cosmetic dentistry and family dentistry is beneficial.Willingness to participate in ongoing professional development and stay current with advances in dental techniques and materials.Previous experience in a private practice setting is preferred but not mandatory
