The practice serves executives, busy professionals, and anyone seeking high-quality, transformative dental care in Cape Town.Role Description The Associate Dentist will provide high-quality clinical care, including comprehensive examinations, diagnosis, and treatment planning for patients at OptiSmile’s Sea Point clinic in the City of Cape Town. Day-to-day responsibilities include performing restorative procedures, root canals, crowns, inlays, and dental implant-related treatments, as well as supporting Invisalign, whitening, and composite bonding services within the ABC philosophy of care. The role involves collaborating closely with the clinical and support team, maintaining accurate clinical records, ensuring adherence to infection control and safety protocols, and delivering patient-centered care with a strong focus on comfort and communication. The Associate Dentist will also contribute to case reviews, continuous professional development, and the adoption of new technologies and techniques in line with the clinic’s advanced standards. This is a full-time, on-site position based at OptiSmile in the City of Cape Town.Qualifications Valid dental degree (e.g., BChD, DDS, DMD) and current registration with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) or eligibility for registration.Demonstrated clinical skills in general dentistry, including examinations, diagnosis, treatment planning, and restorative procedures.Experience or strong interest in cosmetic and aesthetic dentistry, including whitening, composite bonding, and smile design.Competence working with modern dental technologies (e.g., digital imaging, CEREC or similar CAD/CAM systems) and adherence to evidence-based practice.Strong patient communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain treatment options clearly and build trust with diverse patients.Commitment to high standards of infection control, clinical quality, and ethical practice in a fast-paced, premium clinical environment.Ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary dental team and contribute to a respectful, inclusive workplace culture.
