It combines:Corporate Development (M&A, strategic investments, ecosystem strategy)Business Development leadership and support (partnerships, growth initiatives, complex commercial structures)The mandate is to create leverage—accelerating growth, market access, and product capability through deals, partnerships, and strategic initiatives that materially move enterprise value. This is a deal-driven, execution-oriented role, reporting directly to the CEO.ResponsibilitiesCorporate Development (M&A, Strategic Transactions) Source, evaluate, and prioritize acquisition, merger, and investment opportunities.Build financial models, valuation analyses, and strategic business cases.Lead end-to-end deal execution: LOIs and term sheetsCommercial, financial, and operational due diligenceNegotiation and closingPartner with Finance, Legal, Product, and Operations on: Capital structure implicationsIntegration planningPost-close value realizationMaintain a rolling pipeline of near-, mid-, and long-term strategic targets.Strategic Partnerships (Primary Ownership) Identify and close high-impact partnerships, including: Technology and platform partnersDevice or hardware manufacturersAI, data, and automation partnersFinancial services, payments, and lending partnersChannel and distribution partnersDesign and negotiate partnership structures: Revenue share and co-sellingOEM / embedded offeringsWhite-label or exclusive arrangementsJoint go-to-market initiativesEnsure partnerships deliver measurable outcomes: Revenue impactPipeline accelerationProduct differentiationMarket expansionBusiness Development Support for Growth Initiatives Act as strategic BD support for: Complex enterprise opportunitiesNon-standard or multi-party dealsStrategic accounts requiring ecosystem alignmentHelp structure: Custom commercial modelsStrategic pricing, bundling, and long-term agreementsPartner-enabled growth initiativesWork closely with Sales and Marketing to: Launch new growth initiativesSupport geographic or vertical expansionEnable co-selling and partner-led dealsThis role does not carry a sales quota, but is accountable for enabling and accelerating revenue through leverage and deal design.Growth Strategy & Market Intelligence Identify new growth vectors beyond the core sales motion.Evaluate build vs buy vs partner decisions.Monitor competitive landscape, consolidation trends, and emerging threats.Advise the CEO and executive team on: Market entry strategyEcosystem positioningStrategic prioritiesPrepare board-level materials related to growth initiatives and transactions.Execution & Accountability Own KPIs tied to: Closed transactionsPartner-sourced or partner-influenced revenueStrategic initiatives launchedTime-to-market accelerationOperate with speed, discipline, and high commercial judgment.Translate strategy into executed deals—not slide decks.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related field; MBA preferred.4+ years of experience in corporate development, investment banking, private equity, M&A, or a high-growth start-up environment.Proven track record of sourcing and executing M&A deals - you are a hunter, not just a researcher.Strong financial acumen, with expertise in financial modelling, valuation, and deal structuring.Relentless drive and self-starter mentality.
