Associate Director of ProcurementOverviewThe Associate Director of Procurement will lead and modernize the indirect procurement function across North America. This is a high-impact leadership role responsible for strategic sourcing, supplier partnerships, contract negotiations, spend management, procurement governance, and continuous improvement across key corporate categories.This position will help shape procurement strategies for a global technology organization and partner closely with Finance, Accounting, IT, Internal Audit, Legal, HR, Marketing, and senior leadership. The role oversees major spending categories, including indirect procurement, IT procurement, travel vendors, corporate cards, purchase order activity, banking services, insurance renewals, and supplier performanceThe ideal candidate is a hands-on procurement leader who can think strategically, negotiate effectively, improve processes, strengthen controls, and build trusted relationships across the businessSalary Range: $140-$160k (flexible/based on experience) + BONUSLocation: Montvale, NJKey ResponsibilitiesLead indirect procurement strategies across North America, including sourcing, supplier selection, RFQs, price negotiation, contract review, and vendor performance managementPartner with business leaders to identify cost savings, improve supplier quality, reduce risk, and strengthen procurement processesOversee IT procurement activities, including RFQs, lease-versus-buy analysis, contract review, and supplier negotiationsManage procurement-related contract obligations and support cross-functional reviews with Legal, Finance, IT, and business stakeholdersOwn and enhance the SAP Vendor Master process, ensuring data accuracy, compliance, and governanceDevelop and maintain procurement policies, procedures, operating controls, and best practicesLead travel and entertainment (T&E) procurement strategy, including vendor management, corporate card oversight, employee experience, and policy complianceCollaborate with Accounting and Internal Audit to review and update T&E policiesTrack indirect spend, identify savings opportunities, and present recommendations to senior managementReview quarterly savings goals, performance, and procurement initiatives with leadershipDevelop short- and long-term procurement plans aligned with corporate objectivesIdentify alternative suppliers and sourcing strategies to improve resiliency, service quality, and cost effectivenessEvaluate and negotiate financial services pricing, banking agreements, insurance renewals, and related vendor contractsPartner with insurance brokers, HR, and leadership to assess coverage, pricing, renewals, and risk management strategiesSupport compliance efforts (including J-SOX), internal controls, disaster recovery planning, and procurement-related risk mitigationLead process improvement initiatives to make procurement more efficient, transparent, and scalableQualificationsBachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Finance, Operations, or related field (MBA preferred)10+ years of experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, or supply management within a corporate environmentExperience managing indirect procurement categories such as IT, professional services, travel, corporate services, financial services, insurance, facilities, or shared servicesPrior leadership or team management experienceStrong negotiation, supplier management, sourcing, and cost analysis skillsProven ability to develop procurement strategies that improve efficiency, quality, compliance, and financial performanceStrong understanding of procurement controls, vendor governance, policy management, and risk managementExperience with SAP or similar ERP/vendor master systems preferredKnowledge of banking systems, treasury management, insurance programs, and corporate card programs preferredStrong project management skills with the ability to lead multiple cross-functional initiativesExcellent communication, presentation, leadership, and stakeholder management skillsProficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPointAbility to travel occasionally (Employee Benefits & PerksComprehensive, family-friendly healthcare plans (medical, dental, vision)401(k) retirement plan with competitive employer match and financial planning toolsEmployee Assistance Program (EAP) supporting mental, behavioral, and overall well-beingLife and disability insurance for financial protectionHolistic wellness programsTraining, professional development, and mentorship opportunitiesVoluntary insurance options (auto, home, identity protection, legal)Inclusive, innovative, and collaborative work environment
