Associate Director, Registrar & Corporate ComplianceDubai hyre is partnered with a prominent UAE authority on the appointment of an Associate Director to its registrar function.This is a senior, decision-making role overseeing how companies are established, registered and supervised, combining strong legal expertise with regulatory judgement.The appointment forms part of the function's succession planning, offering significant scope to progress into leadership of the registrar function in the coming years.The RoleAssessing and deciding on company formation, registration and licensing applicationsProviding legal and regulatory input across registrar mattersOverseeing the ongoing corporate compliance of registered entitiesSupporting AML/KYC and beneficial ownership requirementsLeading and contributing to compliance inspections and regulatory reviewsAssessing potential breaches and recommending appropriate enforcement actionInterpreting and applying companies legislation and regulationWorking closely with law firms, corporate service providers and other key stakeholdersContributing to the development of the regulatory framework, policies and processesCandidate ProfileLaw degree and a strong legal background, ideally including experience as a practising lawyerExperience gained within a leading law firm, government entity, regulator, free zone authority or professional services firmStrong knowledge of corporate, commercial and/or regulatory lawExposure to company formation, registration, licensing, corporate governance, AML/KYC, inspections and/or enforcementThe judgement and confidence to make sound legal and regulatory decisionsStrong stakeholder management and communication skillsThe leadership capability and ambition to step into a head-of-function role over timeDirect registrar experience is advantageous but not essential.
