This role is designed for early-career engineers who are passionate about software development, automation, and improving the way engineering teams build and deliver software.As an Associate Developer Experience Engineer, you will work alongside experienced platform and software engineers to build the tools, platforms, and workflows that enable developers across AssetMark to be productive and successful. You will gain hands-on experience with modern software delivery practices, cloud technologies, CI/CD pipelines, Kubernetes, Infrastructure as Code, and developer tooling.This position provides an exceptional opportunity to learn how large-scale engineering organizations operate while helping create a world-class developer experience for engineering teams across the company.Key ResponsibilitiesSoftware Development: Write clean, maintainable code following team standards and best practices, with opportunities to progressively take ownership of feature componentsTechnical Learning: Rapidly develop proficiency in our technology stack through structured mentorship programs and hands-on project workTesting & Quality: Implement comprehensive testing strategies including unit testing, integration testing, and debugging to ensure high-quality deliverablesCollaboration: Work effectively with cross-functional teams to understand requirements, implement solutions, and participate in knowledge-sharing sessionsProblem Solving: Apply analytical thinking to resolve technical challenges and propose innovative solutions with appropriate guidanceDocumentation: Create and maintain clear, comprehensive documentation for code and technical processes that supports team knowledge sharingContinuous Improvement: Actively participate in code reviews, team meetings, and retrospectives to develop professional and technical skills with a focus on advancing to more complex assignmentsAgile Practices: Contribute effectively within agile development methodologies including sprints, standups, and iterative developmentRequired Skills & QualificationsSolid foundation in programming languages like JavaScript, TypeScript, Java, C#, or Python with demonstrated ability to learn new technologies quicklyWorking knowledge of web technologies (HTML, CSS, REST APIs) and modern development frameworksExperience with version control systems (Git) and collaborative development workflowsStrong problem-solving skills with ability to break down complex problems methodicallyExcellent communication skills with ability to articulate technical concepts clearlyDemonstrated commitment to continuous learning and professional growthFamiliarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) a plusInterest in financial technology or wealth management domains a plus
