Associate Founder

Location: Cairo, Egypt (on-site) · Type: Full-time · Reports to: FoundersMishmish is a new Cairo-based startup building a healthy pet food subscription service — fresh, quality nutrition for pets, delivered on a recurring plan. We're at day zero: the brand, product, and operations are all being built right now. You'd be the third person in.This is not a corporate job. You'll be the founder's right hand and do the daily grind that turns an idea into a running business. Some days that's product research, some days it's sitting in a government office getting a permit stamped, some days it's chasing a supplier or packing test orders. You'll get direct exposure to every part of building a company from scratch.What you'll doProduct research & execution: research pet nutrition, ingredients, recipes, packaging, and competitors (local and international); coordinate product trials and testing; turn decisions into shipped productRegulatory & documentation: handle company registration paperwork, licensing, food safety and veterinary approvals, and any other government processes — including physically going to offices and following up until things are doneSupplier & partner liaison: identify and negotiate with ingredient suppliers, co-packers/kitchens, packaging vendors, vets, and delivery partnersOperations: manage day-to-day logistics — sourcing, order fulfillment, delivery coordination, inventory trackingGeneral execution: whatever the business needs that week — customer conversations, market research, admin, problem-solvingWho you are0–3 years of experience; hustle and ownership matter more than your CVBased in Cairo with the ability to move around the city for meetings, offices, and suppliersFluent in Arabic and English (written and spoken)Organized and relentless with follow-ups — bureaucracy doesn't wear you downComfortable with ambiguity, unglamorous work, and figuring things out without a playbookGenuine interest in pets/animals is a strong plus; experience in food, FMCG, or logistics is a plus
