Asbury Capital is expanding its investment banking team and is seeking an experienced Associate.You will work across live mandates, including sell-side M&A, growth equity raises, project financing, and structured credit. As part of our entrepreneurial, performance-oriented boutique, you will work directly with the firm’s partners and broader team, participate in client and counterparty meetings, and take ownership of key execution workstreams from the outset. We advise clients on sell-side and buy-side M&A, as well as equity and debt capital raises. On a selective basis, Asbury also underwrites and provides capital to clients in a merchant banking capacity.What you will doBuild and own corporate, project finance, and investor return models for M&A, equity, and credit mandatesPrepare confidential information memoranda, pitches, teasers, management presentations, and board materialsConduct comparable company, precedent transaction, and discounted cash flow analysesBuild buyer and investor lists and manage outreach trackersCoordinate data rooms, diligence requests, and transaction workstreamsResearch North American power markets, energy transition themes, and AI infrastructureParticipate actively in client meetings and counterparty callsWhat we are looking forThree to five years of experience in investment banking, project finance, private equity, or corporate developmentEnergy or infrastructure transaction experience is strongly preferredStrong Excel modeling and PowerPoint skillsClear writing and experience producing client-ready materialsThe ability to manage workstreams independently and identify issues earlyWillingness and ability to pass the FINRA Securities Industry Essentials exam and obtain Series 79 registration within six months of joiningThis position is based in Calgary, Alberta. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in Canada without employer sponsorship and able to travel within North America as transaction needs requireHelpful experienceRenewable energy or power transactions, including tax equity, power purchase agreements, project financing, or M&ACompensationCompetitive base salary plus a performance-based bonus tied to individual, transaction, and firmwide outcomes. Compensation and responsibility will grow with performance and the firm. There may also be an opportunity for future equity participation.
