Associate Landscape Director

NOW HIRING – ASSOCIATE LANDSCAPE DIRECTOR - DESIGN CONSULTANCYOur client is an established international design consultancy based in Dubai, with a strong portfolio across hospitality, residential, workplace, retail and cultural projects.The PositionWe are looking for an experienced Landscape Professional to lead the landscape function, set the creative direction and maintain high design standards across a range of projects. The role will combine creative leadership with client management, team development and the operational running of the landscape department.

Responsibilities

Lead and develop a multi-disciplinary landscape team, providing creative direction, mentoring and support.Set the design vision and strategy for the landscape department and ensure consistency across projects.Lead landscape projects from concept and masterplanning through detailed design, documentation and site delivery.Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, developers, operators and key stakeholders.Present landscape concepts, strategies and design proposals to clients and senior stakeholders.Work closely with architecture, urban design, interior design, MEP and other disciplines to deliver fully integrated design solutions.Review and maintain high standards across landscape drawings, specifications, planting plans and design documentation.Manage team resources, project workloads and departmental budgets.Oversee QA/QC processes, including material selections, planting, hardscape details, mock-ups and contractor submissions.Support bids, proposals, marketing and business development initiatives.Identify opportunities to improve design processes, introduce new ideas and strengthen the department's market position.Lead performance reviews and support the recruitment and development of landscape design talent.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Landscape Architecture, Landscape Design or a related discipline.15+ years' experience within landscape architecture or landscape design.Strong portfolio across sectors such as hospitality, luxury residential, mixed-use, masterplanning, public realm or commercial projects.Proven experience leading and developing landscape design teams.Strong client-facing and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate design concepts and influence key stakeholders.Experience managing design budgets, resources and project delivery.Strong understanding of landscape design, planting, hardscape, materials, detailing and landscape QA/QC.Experience working collaboratively with architectural, engineering, urban design and other disciplines.Strong understanding of the Middle East landscape environment, climate and planting considerations would be advantageous.Professional accreditation or membership of an internationally recognised landscape architecture or design body would be advantageous.
